Associate Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, Royal Holloway, University of London.
My research is in applied microeconomics, spanning labour, health and development economics. I study how policies and institutions shape people’s outcomes across the life course, from birth and early childhood into adult life. Much of that work looks at how services are organised — how staffing, workload and incentives change what people actually receive.
Before joining Royal Holloway, I taught at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I hold a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute.

- October 16, 2025. Co-organized the Workshop “Dades, polítiques i reforma: el nou rumb de l’atenció primària” at the Institut Català de la Salut. The event brought together key stakeholders working at the intersection of data and primary healthcare.
- February 27, 2025. Organized and hosted the Round table “Staffing in Maternity Wards” at Senate House, University of London.
- January 15, 2025. Together with Matilde Machado, we are writing a chapter titled “Delivery Practices in Higher-Income Countries” for the Oxford Handbook of Fertility and Reproductive Health Economics, edited by Kelly Jones and Damian Clarke. Expected publication in 2027.
